How do I change my email address or password?

You can change your email address on the "Edit Profile" page. You can also change other information including password, search preferences, address and other information about yourself. "Edit Profile" is located in the left column after you login to your account. After you've made your changes be sure to click "Save" at the bottom of the page.

How does IM (Instant Messenger) work?

IM is a faster way of communicating with other members who are online. It lists all online members for you. When you send an instant message the recipient will receive the message in seconds and can reply immediately. If the recipient doesn't receive your message for some reason, then that message will be send to his SpringsDates.com Message Inbox.

How does "My Matches" works?

My Matches works with the basic profile and "Search Preferences" located at the bottom of your "Edit Profile" page.

When someone emails me, where does the email go and how do I respond?

When a member sends you a note, it goes straight into your SpringsDates.com Message Inbox. We then send an email to your personal email address to let you know that it's there. (make sure you keep your email address current in your profile...)

To read the note login to your account and go to "Messages" in the left column. If you decide to write back, simply click "reply", write your own note and send it. Your note will go straight into the member's inbox, and we'll let them know it's there with an email to their personal email address.

All communication with other members stays within SpringsDates.com, you never have to give out any personal information.

How do I edit my profile? How do I hide my profile?

To update your profile, click "Edit Profile" in the left column after you've logged in. Be sure to save your changes at the bottom of the screen when you're done.

The first thing you should do is finish your Profile. On the "Edit Profile" page you can answer questions about you and your interests, and also write a little bit about who you are and what you're looking for. Try to stay positive in your essays and let the real you shine. This section is very important, it lets prospective matches know who you are and what you're looking for.

To hide your profile, select "No" for the option "Other members can see when I'm online?" on the "Edit Profile" page. Keep in mind, however, that members who are most active on the site keep their profile visible in all places because it ups their chances of connecting with people.

How do I cancel my membership?

When you login to your account "Cancel Membership" is located in the left column. Your "Anniversary Date" is the day of the month when your credit card is billed, it's listed for you in the center column. It's wise to give us a few days before that day if you're cancelling your membership so we can stop the automatic billing. If you cancel before your anniversary date and your card is billed for the next month's service we will issue a credit to your card. If you cancel after the anniversary date your account will be close on the next billing period and no refund will be issued.
